All CSAT candidates going through the training process require 30 hours of supervisions. Candidates are encouraged to start the supervision process after completing Module 1. CSAT supervisors assist new candidates in administration and interpretation of testing instruments, treatment planning, and application of the task model, including materials and interventions.
Active CSAT Supervisors oversee CSAT candidates prior to their certification. If you are interested in becoming a CSAT Supervisor, you must have at least 2 years of experience as a CSAT and at least 5 years of experience supervising in another capacity. CSAT Supervisor training is offered each year during the IITAP Symposium. Existing supervisors are required to attend refresher courses every 2 years.
Have a question or concern about CSAT supervision? As a CSAT® Supervisor (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor (CSAT-S)), you have access to the CSAT Supervisor Mentor Program, where a qualified individual can talk you through any issues you may be experiencing. See contact list below.
