Symposium & Refresher

IITAP Annual Events

Symposium

The IITAP Symposium is an annual event in which members of our community gather to share ideas and learn of the latest research.  Each year, IITAP brings industry leaders to present for the community.  In the past, we have had speakers such as Drs. John and Julie Gottman, Dr. Gabor Maté, and of course, our very own Dr. Patrick Carnes. In order to attend the Symposium, you must be a member of the IITAP Community, having completed at least one CSAT-module training.  Professionals can earn up to 18 CEUs, with courses being offered as both ethics and supervision credits.  Click here to learn more information and register today!

Refresher

The IITAP Refresher is a chance for community professionals to get an update on important changes within the field of sex addiction recovery as it directly pertains to the IITAP CSAT® training.  What makes this opportunity so unique is the ability of the participant to choose his or her sessions.  With the exception of a few general  sessions, there are typically two different faculty members to choose from in both the morning and afternoon.   The Refresher does qualify for IITAP required CEUs (21 CE possible) and Supervisors who participate in the full 3-day Refresher will earn 6 Supervisor CEUs.  Click here to learn more and register today!

How to Build a Sucessful Sex Addiction Practice

One of the many challenges members of the IITAP Community face is finding the time to organize their practices. Often times, CSATs are overwhelmed with the number of referrals and end up working more hours than expected. Dr. Kenneth Adams has developed a template that gives clinicians direction and a framework to maximize clinical effectiveness and income potential.

The primary focus of the workshop is business development. A small portion of the time (approximately 3 hours) will be devoted to organizing the materials from CSAT(r) Training.

  • Identify interpersonal barriers to success
  • Develop a business plan
  • Identify successful marketing ideas, target audiences, and strategy
  • Identify website development ideas
  • Develop a clinical plan to structure your practice that best optimizes your success
  • Learn Dr. Adams’ “Do’s and Don’ts” of managing a successful practice
  • Develop a written plan of success

Facilitated by:
Kenneth Adams, Ph.D.
